WHAT HELP IS

More Than a Conference

HELP is a convening point for people who believe that improving health requires more than treating illness after it occurs.

Through expert education, community dialogue, and meaningful partnerships, HELP explores the connection between lifestyle, prevention, social determinants of health, and health equity.

The conference brings together perspectives from healthcare, faith, education, nonprofit organizations, research, and the community to explore practical approaches to reducing chronic disease and creating conditions where people can thrive.

Plantrician Project

The HELP Conference is rooted in a shared commitment between Healthy Heart Nation and the Plantrician Project to advance health through prevention, education, lifestyle medicine, and community engagement.

While each organization brings different expertise and perspectives, the partnership creates an opportunity to connect evidence-based lifestyle medicine with the people and communities who can put it into practice.

Together, the organizations bring healthcare professionals, researchers, community leaders, faith organizations, educators, and advocates into the same conversation, creating opportunities to learn, connect, and collaborate around solutions to chronic disease and health inequities.

2026 CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHT

HELP 2026: From Conversation to Action

On August 28, 2026, Healthy Heart Nation and its partners brought the HELP conversation to the Inland Empire, bringing together 150+ healthcare professionals, faith leaders, students, nonprofit organizations, and community members.
The day was marked by an incredible sense of energy and shared purpose. Across presentations and conversations, one message continued to emerge:

“Health is built through community.”

Participants explored lifestyle medicine, social determinants of health, faith-based partnerships, and community engagement; and how collaboration can help move communities beyond simply treating disease toward creating a culture of health.

Advancing health equity through people, partnerships, and prevention.

NURISHING COMMUNITIES

Nourishing Health, One Plate at a Time

At HELP 2026, plant-based eating was encouraged as part of heart-healthy lifestyle, and attendees experienced a meal that demonstrated how nourishing, plant-forward food can be colorful, flavorful, and satisfying.

Healthy choices can be both practical and enjoyable.

Plant-forward eating is one way we can nourish our bodies, support heart health, and make prevention part of everyday life.

A SHARED VISION

A Shared Commitment to Healthier Communities

“The HELP Conference reminded us that the future of health will not be built by any one organization alone. It will be built through collaboration, shared purpose, and a commitment to helping people thrive. We left inspired, energized, and more determined than ever to create a Healthy Heart Nation.”

– Danette Batist, CEO & Co-Founder, Healthy Heart Nation

FROM CONFERENCE INTO THE COMMUNITY

The Conversation Continues

The HELP Conference is not the destination.  It is a catalyst.

Following the 2026 conference, Healthy Heart Nation is focused on strengthening partnerships and expanding community-based initiatives such as the Pressure Project, Hypertension Immersion Program and other initiatives that bring intervention and education directly into the communities they serve.

The opportunity to transform awareness into action; and action into healthier communities throughout the Inland Empire and beyond.
